Structural Engineer

Job Description

You are an experienced structure engineer with a background in aerospace or a related field who has demonstrated expertise in composite material design, structural analysis, and simulation. You've also used FEM simulation and received hands-on experience with component testing and documentation and full-scale structural tests. As part of a highly motivated multi-disciplinary team, you will create and refine state-of-the-art composite structures for ETN200 with best-in-class performance.

Your main tasks are:

  • Responsible for composite design, airframe structural configuration layouts, and detail design, which includes structural layouts, preliminary sizing, joint layouts, and part designs for metallic and composite materials.

  • Responsible for revisions to ETN200's CAD models, drawings, other documents, trade studies, interface creation and maintenance, and coordination with other engineering departments.

  • Verify structural integrity by applying analytical methodologies, finite element models/simulations, and other analysis tools to define the structural environment, characteristics, and performance throughout the ETN200 life cycle.

  • Guarantee that structural load scenario, certification test plans, and test results are defined and documented to meet regulatory bodies' criteria.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent

  • Professional experience as a structural design engineer designing and performing structural analysis and FEA of composite and metal structures.

  • Experience in the design and implementation of composite structures as solutions to complex engineering requirements.

  • Experience in structural testing, testing standards, test planning, and test correlation.

  • Track record of successfully performing lightweight, composite design projects.

  • Familiar with various high-performance composite manufacturing processes, process limitations, and post-processing of advanced composite components.

  • Experience in an aerospace environment is preferred.

Additional Skills

  • High level of self-reliance with the ability to work in a team, as well as autonomous.

  • Ability and willingness to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment.

  • Target-oriented, driven work style with analytic problem-solving skills required.

  • Fluent English skills are essential.

  • Experience in flying a drone (e.g., DJI or Autel).
