System Control Development Engineer

Job Description

You are a system control development engineer responsible for planning, implementing, and testing control strategies as well as building associated software for our heavy-lift ETN200, which will revolutionize the industry of urban aerial mobility. With our multi-disciplinary team, you drive the improvement and tuning of our control parameters and their integration into the whole system.

Your main tasks are:

  • Develop and implement software and algorithms for ETN200 flight control systems.

  • Define software architecture and design.

  • Assist with the verification of software in accordance with industry requirements.

  • Coordinate and carry out flight control system testing.

  • Assist with bench testing and flight testing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronic Engineering or equivalent.

  • Experience in control system design and integration for aerial vehicle and/or autonomous systems (industry or academia).

  • Excellent software development skills in C as well as in a scripting language (Python, MATLAB)

  • Experience in model-based design (e.g., Simulink).

  • Experience in digital communication standards (e.g., SPI, I2C, UART, CAN).

  • A structured way of working paired with a high sense of accountability.

  • Fluent English skills are essential (technical report writing and communication).

Additional Skills

  • Experience in hardware integration.

  • Experience in distributed systems development.

  • Experience in the UAV or aeronautics industry.

  • Experience in flying a drone (e.g., DJI or Autel).
