Aerodynamics Engineer

Job Description

You are a mechanical or aerospace engineer with experience in aerodynamic simulations and analysis. You have the knowledge of the requirements for Multiphysics simulations, including aerodynamics, thermodynamics, structural dynamics, and acoustics, to capture the complexity of an aircraft and know the respective analysis methods. Within a highly motivated multi-disciplinary team, you will work closely with composite engineers, structural designers, and analysts to provide your simulation experience to assist ETN200 development.

Your main tasks are:

  • Create and maintain CFD and multi-physics simulation models of components and the complete aircraft for aero-thermal analysis.

  • Assist other flight physics disciplines (loads, dynamics, rotors) with CFD simulations.

  • Assist in defining testing scope (bench, wind tunnel, ground, and flight tests) and validate computational models based on test results.

  • Develop standardized analysis and reporting tools.

  • Author and review high-quality technical documentation.

  • Assist in the certification process of the aircraft.

  • Assist in and manage partnerships with external partners in aerothermodynamics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience with aerodynamics and flight mechanics.

Additional Skills

  • High level of self-reliance with the ability to work in a team, as well as autonomous.

  • Ability and willingness to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment.
